For now, let’s take a break from an EPIC game of cat and mouse and enjoy a nice high school anime filled with romance, comedy, and yes, my fellow fighting otaku, plenty of beat downs. I know that most of you wanted to get back to the battle between Ryuzaki and Light in “Death Note,” but in this edition, I think we all need to take a mental nap from that EPIC battle. Welcome back, readers, to another edition of Otaku Corner. I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here.Don’t miss a great fighter anime in Tenjho Tenge Masataka can't take Mitsuomi right now, either, but I'm guessing he's not really the one that's meant to do that. I really want to know what Mitsuomi thinks of his little brother Masataka. Mitsuomi certainly seems to see potential in him. He's not quite as strong as the others, yet, but I think he'll get there. Right now, though, he can't beat Mitsuomi, but who knows what the future will have? And then there's Bob. With more talent, he could be even scarier in a fight. Speaking of Soichirou, that guy is pretty strong. This could go really bad if she can't get a grip on her emotions. And then Soichirou goes and admits it out loud and weird phenomena start happening around Aya. Especially after the way she was acting during that fight with Tagami. With the kind of power Aya possesses, I'm worried about her. It's not Maya's fault who Soichirou fell for, but I don't think Aya will be able to get past it. This is likely going to change things quite a bit. It also seems like he's still in love with Maya and he isn't the only one.Īya was already suspecting it and it looks like she was right to be worried. Shin is dead, but Maya reveals something about Mitsuomi that I really wasn't expecting. I'm looking forward to see just what happened between those two. ![]() ![]() It's likely very tragic and by the end of the volume, we're getting a flashback to how Maya and Mitsuomi met and we get to see that Shin was also close with Mitsuomi. We also learn that there's serious history between Maya and Mitsuomi that centers around Maya and Aya's deceased older brother. Therefore, going forward, I'll just refer to those two by their first names it's easier. We learn that the Executive Council Chairman is Takayanagi's older brother, Mitsuomi Takayanagi. These guys wear some weak ass clothes, man.Īnyway, we discover a few things in this volume. It's very violent and all of the clothes ripping continues to be present. Considering this is pretty much a martial arts manga, that's not too surprising. There's a ton of fighting in this volume. In the aftermath of the battle Maya Natsume, head of the Juken Club, decides to drop out of school, leaving the other members to wonder about the fate of the club-and about the strange bond between Mitsuomi and Maya. ![]() Things seem to be swinging the Juken Club's way.until the last player arrives on the scene: Mitsuomi Takayanagi, the monstrously powerful chairman of the Executive Council. A round of face-crushing battle begins, with the opponents on both sides driven by very personal reasons for the fight. Soichiro, Bob, and the rest of the Juken Club are split up and attacked one-on-one by the strongest members of the Executive Council.
